My £155 RedAudio 5 also does figure 8 and is producing some good results
generally.

I have done a lot of stereo recording recently - everything from power trio
to clarinet quartet to accoustic guitar duo - with 2 AKG C100S in a spaced
array and an AKG C3000B as a spot mic. I still user my good old Tandy PZM
for ambience sometimes.
