Good advice.  If you want a Mac, wait until the new ones come out, and get
the 933MHz G4 (the price sweet spot)  for nice and cheap during the
clearance
sales.  If you know an Apple employee, they have a great employee discount
program that they actually encourage employees to extend to their friends,
which
brings the price of G4 down by 30%, that's within the PC ballpark (the
933MHz
is $1800USD).

But definitely, wait until the smoke clears before doing anything...  The
world
is changing, don't side with anybody yet, we can't tell who is a dinosaur
and
who is a mammal right now...
