Well "moderators," I sure don't know how you're going to decide what's
"related to music" and what isn't. As far as I'm concerned, everything
in life is "related to music." Or, "Music is life, the rest is
details." However, in regards to what started this "debate," Waves
plugs are made in Israel, at one point on another list, a boycott was
suggested, not in support of Palestinians, but in protest of the Israeli
government's recent actions against other human beings. I thought about
it, and decided to postpone my purchase of the Waves Bundle. We just
had the American Congress give our "President" unprecedented power to
make a preemptive strike on another sovereign nation, while our economy
is in shambles, partly because people are more concerned with an
impending "war" than creating work, or creating anything, for that
matter. Then, we find out that another country, North Korea, has had
nukes in the oven for some time and our "President" knew that a full 2
weeks before Congress voted to give him his requested, unprecedented
"power." A secret his administration kept until after the vote, events
certainly worthy of at least a 3 chord Folk Song, recorded in Logic
Audio Platinum.

So, how does all this relate to Logic Audio? I'll tell you; in my case,
I won't be buying a Logic upgrade until things settle down. I won't be
buying Waves until things settle down. I won't be buying a new Mac
until things settle down. I won't always have an opinion to offer, but
I'll have one, and it will be influenced by what other people think
about the same things that affect me. But, find all this on yet another
list? Not worth the effort. Jeremy notes we have 608 LUGgers on this
list and I'll note that only 27 of them voted in the last poll. I'd say
that indicates an overwhelming majority who don't give a fat rat's ass
WHAT is discussed on this list, by a margin of 596 to 12. The ratio of
LUG on topic subscribers to LUG-OT subscribers suggests that this is the
only list needed to preserve the interest of those who have "related"
interests beyond the actual care and feeding of Logic Audio, itself. At
608 to 9265, I'm shown that less than 1/10th of the Logic Users know
about this list or care about it and how it relates to their craft. I
could construe that imbalance as due to people who don't vote or don't
care about anything else, but that would be as silly as assuming 12
people should "legitimately" decide what 596 others discuss.

The rest of this discussion has been about personal idiosyncrasies, and
is the most irrelevant discussion of all. I care more about what
someone thinks than how they express it or their opinion of how someone
else expressed theirs, idiot, asshole, or "nice guy." So, skip the
bullshit, forget the insults, they aren't REALLY personal because no one
REALLY knows anyone else here, and get on with the "debates," whatever
the "topic." It's all food for thought and certainly something to write
about, both words and music. :)
