What amazes _me_ is that the problem can occur in the 1st place.  If 
I switch resolution on my konitors, I get a dialog (after switching) 
asking if this is okay or not.  The 'Cancel' button is the defult 
here, so if I ever attempted to switch to an unsupported resolution 
so that everything becomes a blur, I would simply hit 'return' and 
all would go back to normal.  Since I use the standard Mac OS Monitor 
control panel, I would expect it to behave similar with other 
monitors...

You're right as well though -- it _is_ weird that this is a tough one 
to solve once the damage is done...
