Actually, as a Mac user I have to say that a think it would be a mistake to split the list Mac/Win. The programs are virtually the same. That should be reason enough to NOT split the list A LAW user has just a much to learn from a LAM user as LAM user can learn from a LAW user. While Cyril is correct in that a LAM user doesn't care about the "AMD vs. Intel" debates or the what "mobo should I get" threads, the fundamental program operation is the same on both platforms. Splitting the list would just reduce the brain power that can be applied to an individual users problem or question. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cyril Blanc" <blanc.cyril@...> To: <logic-users@yahoogroups.com> Cc: "Logic OT" <logic-ot@yahoogroups.com>; "Joeri Vankeirsbilck" <joeri@...> Sent: Thursday, June 14, 2001 1:00 AM Subject: [L-OT] Re: [LUG] [admin] Poll: OT subscriptions & OT mails > Hello Joeri > > To split the traffic you should made to list one Logic Mac Hardware/Software another Logic > Windows Hardware/Sofware , > > A Mac user does not care about issue of Logic problems on a Win station and vice an versa, > > > PLEASE do a Poll for this, you can subscribe everyone to both list and people on the list > can unsubscribe if they wish. > > Today I am filtering all LAW message they directly goes in the dust pin ! today I got 200 > messages > > Thanks for the good job you do on the lists > > Best regards > > Cyril > > > Joeri Vankeirsbilck wrote: > > > Hi, > > > > I'd like to invite those who have not voted yet on the poll concerning > > OT mails and subscription to the OT list. > > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/logic-users/polls It's the first poll in > > the list. > > > > The question is: should we subscribe everyone to the OT list and ban OT > > mails from the LUG? > > If you want to ask an OT question, you'd have to post it on the OT list. > > For those who don't want to receive any OT, you could unsubscribe from > > that OT list or put your account in web-only mode.
