I've been wondering this for ages: why do people want to trigger loops from a sampler? I can imagine when there weren't these DAWs like Logic on the market that you didn't have a choice. And playing live it's easier to have a sampler. But with these DAWs you also have the control of chopping up audio in regions the way you like, automate fx and other parameters. But what's the advantage of using a sampler for loops? Ok, you can't put an LFO on a region but that's the only thing I could come up with to use a sampler above a DAW. Can you elaborate on this please? TIA, Yoonchi.
