Very quantized! :))

I quantize by notes 1/16 etc e.g.

I agree for most types of music, but sometimes you want things to be strictly on
the beat. Personally I play some things and do not quantize them either, even with
trance music. Or I build my own quantisations (which I extract from drumloops
e.g.)

Both, depending on what you prefer. Sometimes I use audio drumloops, sometimes I
trigger the loops from the EXS. I prefer my loops from the EXs because I then have
full control: filters, pitching etc etc..

Sure, whatever the song needs.

Wouldnt it be great if we could see and edit the waveform of samples from
the exs in the arrange. That would be IT for me.

I've been wondering this for ages: why do people want to trigger loops from a sampler?
I can imagine when there weren't these DAWs like Logic on the market that you didn't have a choice. And playing live it's easier to have a sampler.
But with these DAWs you also have the control of chopping up audio in regions the way you like, automate fx and other parameters. But what's the advantage of using a sampler for loops?
Ok, you can't put an LFO on a region but that's the only thing I could come up with to use a sampler above a DAW.
Can you elaborate on this please?
TIA,
Yoonchi.

Well if you get the new recycle, or waveSergent on PC or "better yet Groove
Control Activated sample CDs", you can trigger the loop via Midi with the
ability to CHANGE its tempo Real time like you do with MIDI, Change the
Pitch, Play with the filters and Even edit the loop....

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
