The Logic Off Topic list

I am wondering if anyone knows how to create this common trick. There 
seems to be a common technique of fast 16th notes but they alternate in 
tone. For example in the chorus of Underworlds "Pushups" when it sounds 
like he is saying "Push it" DadaDadaDada. It sounds a bit like a two 
handed clav sound. Possibly played so that alternating notes are on 
different patches? TIA.
