Geek Question

2001-07-31 by david@floydsproduce.com

How can I setup some kind of macro, or batch file that will take
files(in this, audio files), and if their names end in "____-L.wav",
or in other words "*-L.wav", take that and change it to "*.wal".

The "*" can be anything else, and will remain in the name with
".wal" afterward. I don't want to just change the extension, I also
want to get rid of the "-L" before the extension.

Rename It adds some very handy links to your right mouse click on a
pc. You can get it from hotfiles.com. I check >every< program on
their list a few months ago, and it was the best one.

Use this.
http://www.musicsucks.com/CKSoft/CKRename/
It's free and does exactly what you want plus more. Did I say it's free?

p.s. I'm not sure why the domain name is what it is. I wouldn't take
offense to it. Just download it and enjoy. I love this little powerful
program.
