However, I've used Protools and imo Protools and Logic can't be compared. Protools is still much better for audio editing. Logic is a more creative tool for arranging, composing etc. The new automation brings Logic a big step closer to Protools, but there's still a way to go: I personally want to see sample accurate waveform zoom in the arrangment. I want to see timestretching of audio in the arrangment the same way Protools does it. Groups have to be added for mixing (Logic Control has a button named "groups", so it looks like that one is on its way) etc. All in all, both Logic and Protools has its strengths and weaknesses.
