Macs have to use formatted hard drives too, right? Or can you just not
specify the cluster size on a Mac? The specific command line programs to
run to format the drive in Win2k/XP is LAW specific but the optimal
cluster size etc is probably cross platform info..

The mac utility does not allow these adjustments - if you want to 
mess with clusters you need a third party formatter such as FWB HDT. 
This utility was very popular with Avid types wanting to squeeze the 
most out of a scsi system a few years ago.

However Apple's drivers and formatting have significantly improved 
over the years so there is not much to be gained from going this 
route now,  at least under OS9.  I don't know if this will change 
with OSX.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
