What is a Cost-deal?

What is a Cost-deal?

2003-03-10 by erland

Hey,

I was wondering if you someone could tell me what a "cost-deal" is. A
music instrument company approached me and offered me a cost-deal and
endorsement possibility.

Pardon me if it's something really obvious like a rebate. English
isn't my first language.

Thanks,

Erland

Not 100% sure but maybe they mean they will sell you their product
for "cost" in other words the same price their distributor pays them
for the product. You could just ask them what they mean though. It
is a reasonable question. Just say what you said here.

They must think you are hot stuff Erland . If you are buying from them they
will sell you their gear at Cost price [price to the shops] as opposed to
retail price [price to the shops customers otherwise known as punters] .
Endorsment usually means that you will allow your image to be associated
with their product in return for giving you whatever instruments they may
produce .
                                                     Good Luck.

Thanks,

That's what I thought it meant. What is it usually, around 20%-30% of
retail?
