Lpc2000

hello all
v have a lpc2106 board from nohau.
i was trying to use both UART0 & 1 when my board stopped working.
i was writing to UART0 and also to UART1
i am not able to download my program now with the ISP.
all the voltages seem to be right and most of all my program still 
works - i.e it is transmitting on UART0 but not on UART1 - 
and i have drawn this inference from it that the UART1 has gone bad 
and since the DCD1 - Pin0_14 (of the UART1) has to be low to continue 
with ISP i am not able to download from ISP.
if this is the case - any work arounds ?
if not please can somebody tell me the cost of the processor(not the 
board)
