Lpc2000

hello all
v have a lpc2106 board from nohau.
i was trying to use both UART0 & 1 when my board stopped working.
i was writing to UART0 and also to UART1
i am not able to download my program now with the ISP.
all the voltages seem to be right and most of all my program still 
works - i.e it is transmitting on UART0 but not on UART1 - 
and i have drawn this inference from it that the UART1 has gone bad 
and since the DCD1 - Pin0_14 (of the UART1) has to be low to continue 
with ISP i am not able to download from ISP.
if this is the case - any work arounds ?
if not please can somebody tell me the cost of the processor(not the 
board)

I've just bought 20 pcs LPC2106 from Avnet (UK). They worked out at just
under 10 GBP each with carriage and VAT. About $16 each.

The Nohau board seems easy to damage for some reason. A client of mine
zapped the JTAG on theirs and I replaced the '2106 with a '2104, all I had
at the time. It was a bit tricky, I used ChipQuik to remove the duff chip.

Further to my previous post, have you checked the integrity of the
connections between the RS-232 connector and the LPC2106? You might
simply have a bad solder joint somewhere.

It would be a good idea to check, especially the LPC leads, if only to
eliminate it. It could save a lot of work and is very quick.
