UnxUtils looks interesting as a Cygwin alternative. I'll give it a try. From 
what I read it supports sed etc too which are typically quite important in 
more complex makefiles.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
