There are two different issues here.  One is a problem in the mask of 
the chip itself, which Philips says was fixed in chip rev C.

The other is a problem with the bootloader code.  This is not 
directly related to chip rev.  To fix this problem, bootloader code 
in the chip must be upgraded to version 1.52 or higher, as described 
in the errata sheet.  According to Philips, all chips with date code 
0419 or later already have this bootloader code.

If your chips are from 0418, they probably need their bootloader code 
updated, even if they are rev C.
