Do you really expect the LPC CAN parts to be less than $5? The TMS470R1A64 has CAN and is only $5 @1k and the A128 is only $7 at Digikey and will likely be closer to $6 at Avnet and others if you request a price quote. When I checked the prices of the LPC parts, the only ones that seem to be below $5 are the initial parts in the 48 pin packages and these don't have analog. The only price I can find for the LPC2119 is $7.60 at Future. But they are sometimes rather high for no good reason. I won't get into the performance issues, but I'll just say that I have seen no benchmarks comparing the LPC parts to any other ARMs. I was happily surprised at the low prices of the TI parts. --- In lpc2000@yahoogroups.com, geno_24@y... wrote: > > The LPC2119, 2129 and 2194 already have CAN and they look to be much > higher performance and lower cost than the TI automotive parts that > Rick mentioned. > > I've heard that the LPC2148 is the LPC2138 with USB is coming out > soon and that the LPC2138 with CAN (I don't know the part number) > follows after. > > > --- In lpc2000@yahoogroups.com, "Rick Collins" <gnuarm@a...> wrote: > > > > --- In lpc2000@yahoogroups.com, "rhpascaldodo" <rh@e...> wrote: > > > > > > Hi PhilipsApps > > > > > > where is the LPC2139 (~2138 with CAN) ? > > > when can we expect to see some chips and the datasheet ? > > > > The TI parts have CAN, TMS470R1A64/128/256.
