Thanks for all the wonderful feedback, I appreciate every little comment 
that you want to share.

From what I hear there are people who are suggesting an avrfreaks style 
site. Although I agree that the layout is good, I personally don't think a 
webforum-only system is very beneficial (as pointed out by many posters). 
I would suggest a webforum backed by SMTP (email) and maybe even NNTP 
(news groups), to increase the level of access to the forums.

I also do like the microchip forum system. It would be nice to emulate 
some of their features.

On the question of wikis, my suggestion was not to make the entire site a 
wiki, yet allow people to create and maintain wikis for specific topics. 
Many CMS systems support wikis along side the main web forms/mailing lists 
and other content.
