any1 here that know how to get this uc in Malaysia? Well i am a student here and wish to explore bout ARM. Trying to use this as a start but dont know where to get it.

As a first start, I suggest you get a demo board (rather than a bare chip). Until you have a proven tool chain (software to programmer/debugger to board to chip) it is best to minimise the number of unknowns. You will also need a JTAG programmer / debugger interface. The lowest cost option is one of the parallel-port Wigglers. They are so cheap it is hardly worth building your own. I bought my wiggler from Olimex. They also supply demo boards. I see that www.embeddedhub.com are the Singapore distributor for Olimex and they list shipping options for Malaysia so they might be an option. where u study? my company is using lpc for one of our product. Avnet malaysia does carry lpc parts but they are big distributor. there are a lot of development board package sale at china website with development tools and gcc compiler for cheap start. well currently studying in MMU Melaka. Already know about 8051 (assembly). So plan to try out somethign better, and found LPC2000. So plan to try this out 1st as there is an active forum for it. I never buy any development board . we usually request samples and build our board. i think you can order the development board by web and pay by credit caad or paypal. read their website, the courier charges usually is seperately charge. you can send email to them for details.
