New LPC2220 (64 KB SRAM) released

2005-05-19 by philips_marketing_usa

LPC2220 is a low-cost 16/32-bit ARM7TDMI-STM Flashless processor with
up to 64K on-chip RAM, 75 MHz operation.

The highly integrated single chip LPC2220 microcontroller is a new
addition to the highly popular LPC2000 ARM7TDMI-based
microcontrollers. The LPC2220 fills the needs for designers looking
for low price, high-performance 32-bit microcontrollers with large
amounts of on-chip SRAM and multiple megabytes of off-chip code
memory.

The LPC2220 features 64 KB on-chip RAM, 10-bit ADC and an external
memory interface which are all ideal for applications such as
industrial control, medical systems, access control, POS, high-end
cordless phone systems and general purpose gateways.

Key Features:
· 8 channel 10-bit ADC
· External memory interface
· Two 32-bit timers,PWM unit,real-time clock & watchdog timer
· Temperature range –40°C to +85°C
· LQFP144 package

Tools and Support
To further assist developers to easily integrate advanced technology
into everyday applications, the LPC2220 is supported by low-cost
development tools including JTAG emulators and evaluation boards.
Customers can use the existing Phytec phycore-ARM-LPC229x or the
Ashling ASK-2000-NP evaluation board together with the 144-pin
adapter sockets to evaluate the LPC2220.

Availability
The LPC2220 is available now.

philips_marketing_usa:

This is hard to believe when it isn't even listed on the Philips website!
Spare us the vapourware announcements / marketing hype please.

And by the way, what's with your buggy website that doesn't display a
single thing on a Firefox browser?

Displays fine in firefox 1.04

Have to rate the philips web site as being rather annoying.
Atmels site is easier to navigate.

The new webpages are a piece of shit. I'm referring to
http://www.standardics.philips.com.
The parametric filter page
http://www.standardics.philips.com/products/mcus/arm7/parametric/~LPC2210/?sub=01&mcufmax=60#LPC2210
is especially annoying.
A annoying way of displaying the data / features.

A table format with the features would be better especially without
having to scroll the page.

This page is better
http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/markets/mms/products/microcontrollers/key_solutions/32bit/index.html
but surely it is possible to have it in a table format. Even with a 1920
by 1200 display ,still have to scroll across the page.
Get a decent web designer.

Alex

I'll second that.

I discovered that the Philips site doesn't work at all with javascript
turned off.
I'm surprised Philips can slam their front door closed in so many
customers' and
potential customers' faces. It's like their webmaster is trying to
sabotage them.
How incompetent is that to have a website present _nothing_ with
javascript disabled?
I do accessible web site design for NGOs myself. It's fundamental to
have a site with
a front page that works with all browsers.

I better stop now. I'm beginning to see a pattern between Philips
failure to test their website, and failure to test their chip designs
(i.e. pages of errata)
that I truly do not like...

Agreed totally.
