That is a posibility that I thought maybe I should check out (probably this 
weekend).  I just know that when I was patching up a sound and turned some of 
the 440 mixer knobs up too high I got quite an awful sounding distortion, but 
being in the middle of patching a sound I learned to keep those mixer knobs 
at or below their mid points for the time being.  I'll see if I am 
overdriving another module in the chain.
