i got craters and freighters calling me today.
do you recommend their service? and if so, do you know about how much it cost?? read something about a chicken truck delivery? makes me extremely nervous.
any help would be very much appreciated!

I have used them several times to ship Mellotrons. Most recently a Mark II  
from San Diego to Virginia. Worth every dime! I have never had anything but 
 excellent results. Tell them to screw the crate together. Then you can  
disassemble is and use it again if necessary.

LOL. The chicken truck is what my Mellotron arrived on... But it arrived in perfect condition.  I can heartily recommend their service. I recently had a Gibson G101 packed and shipped to my by them.  Crated perfectly and arrived in good condition. They are expensive, but you can't beat the service. They show up at the house, pick up the item, pack it in foam and crate it, then send it to your door. Very convenient.

They usually use screws... I saved my G101 crate as I will probably sell one of mine soon.  Te cost was close to $500 insured....
