Re: expression pedal for Matrix 6

2010-11-04 by steinbergerstyler

I plugged a Yamaha FC7 into the Pedal 1 jack--the Matrix 6 senses it and will transmit the appropriate CC# via midi to my computer but only for value 0-14 (i.e. out of 0-127). The pedal doesn't have any audible effect on the Matrix patches even when programmed appropriately, which leads me to believe it's a problem with the pedal or the Pedal 1 jack.

Is this the wrong kind of pedal? The manual says you should a standard guitar cable for the input (i.e. TS plug?) but as far as I know all expression pedals use TRS plugs.

Any suggestions? Anyone ever get Pedal 1 to work on the Matrix 6 or 6R)?

The EV-5 also has a sensitivity knob on it... adjusting it made no perceptible difference.
