Silly question

2016-03-13 by Bob Grieb

One thing that puzzles me... If Mario is as good as he sounds,
why would he need or want troubleshooting advice from someone on this
list? Just curious.

nice to hear from a local member
since you too had Upscale Music repair your synth. Mario was
referred to me by the guys at Electronic Service Labs in
 Weathersfield/Newington when I sought a repair person for a
tag sale find (Wurlitzer Model 100) that had a serious
ground hum problem (common for these) and I must say that
Mario reduced the noise by 70% without a complete
restoration and at a fair $. A Pigtronix "GateKeeper" has
done a fine job from there in silencing the electric piano
during recording. Last week I went in to pick up a Magnatone
Esty M50 that was DOA, Mario got it working with a new tube
and lots of cleaning of corroded connections, etc.. Next up
is the Matrix 6, seems like it may take awhile. I will refer
Mario to any tech in this group that may be (willing) able
to advise based upon the testing results up to this
 point....Thanks, Michael...203 238-4882. Meriden,Ct
