I don't know if you can load patches via midi BUT.... this won't solve your "tape hiss" problem in any case. The OB-8 is not a sampler, loading patches is more like turning the knobs and then hitting the save button. If you have a "hiss" you might have a problem with the "noise" being on or there may be some problem with the final amp output, or likely it is just the nature of the old analog beast.
