why would this make the unit act this way?

upon further trials it seems to be a function of the midi channel assigment

when set to omni - only 2 voices

when set to channel 1 - all 6 voices

only the midi "in" cable is connected

and yes the battery is fine because the settings are maintained during power off

any thoughts out there?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
