OBERHEIM SYNTH

My Matrix 6r does this sometimes if it is getting any MIDI data in or if it
comes up with too many other things at the same time on a power-up. Try
turning it off and letting it sit for a moment, then turning it back on to
see how it comes back up.

It's coming on with nineteen other devices when I hit that power button, so
I just turn it off before everything else and turn it on by itself after
things are powering up and it tends to come up fine. (I turn it on right
after I start the samplers on their program loads and set the digital
reverb's MIDI channel so that everything has time to come up -- by that time
the Kurzweil modules have passed their relay trigger and so there's no more
bumps in the power path)

press Store while powering up to do a factory reset. you will have to reload
the patches after that, but at least you will see if memory corruption is
causing your strange behavior. -pc
