Oberheim Patch Programming Experts

Hi.

I've got a Matrix-6, which I've had for years and still love. It's getting a bit unreliable at times...and also, I've been trying to move everything I can to softsynths.

I got Sonicprojects OP-X (reaktor), OBXa emulator, which so far has been very good.

Thought there's a couple of Matrix-6 patches I'd like to recreate as closely as I can on this new softsynth.

The original Matrix sounds, I believe, were based on Xpander or OBX patches. In particular, patches (on the matrix-6) "OBXA-D2" and "ODX-7".

The sounds are very similar to the synth sounds on "The Beautiful Ones" by Prince, if that reference helps at all.

I am pretty good at programming the Matrix-6, but I just don't have the facility with the OBX programming to know how to try to back-translate to program similar sounds...

If anyone can help me with this, any tips, I would really appreciate. Maybe someone even has the patch parameters from an Xpander or OBXa that match those Matrix-6 sounds some.

Thank you

Just a note folks. If you get an offer from someone named Lillow or
something similar to join Grouply, do not do it, and avoid this like the
plague. Giving your password to someone else, even a "service" is a very bad
idea, and if you do you deserve the nine levels of hell this can open up for
you. I got a message from someone in this group, so I thought I'd mention
this here so no one else sets up themselves up for this headache.
