Oberheim Matrix 6 Manual

Oberheim Matrix 6 Manual

2005-04-21 by ErezYaary

I just bought a used Matrix 6R, but got no manual.
Does any one has a soft copy of the manual or perhaps the factory sounds as MIDI files?

Thanks,
Erez

Matrix 6R Receive Sys Ex

2005-04-22 by Erez Yaary

Hi,

Trying to get my Matrix-6R to respond to Sys Ex, but to no avail. I
have tried with .MID files of patches, SoundDiver and UniSyn, but
nothing happens. On those apps I can get the patch data from the
device, and even transmit individual parameters data, but if I want to
store a patch in the device's memory, I can not. memory Protect is in
Off state.

Any other special mode I need to have the Matrix be in?

Erez,

Maybe it's tricking you!

After you send the sys ex, nothing appears to have changed.... UNTIL
you change the patch and you will find that the new info is there!

I am not sure if you can send individual patches but maybe you can. I
have always done that with the tape.

Yes, I believe it is tricking me :-(
The problem still persists, i.e. no external software can STORE a patch
on the device, only the onboard STORE button can.

Any thoughts?

Have you tried the tape loading method??????? You can use any kind of
analog device: MiniDisc, reel to reel, cassette...

Are you sure you have the memory protect switch in the correct position ?
If it was sticky- not making (or breaking) contact, then this could cause the problem.

Try moving it back and forth about 30 times, to see if it cleans the contacts.
