OB8 4-Pole Volume Drop

OB8 4-Pole Volume Drop

2010-05-21 by Michael

The volume drops quite significantly on my OB8 when the filter is switched from 2-pole to 4-pole mode with resonance turned up. I realize some volume drop is expected but it seems excessive on my OB8. Is this normal?

does this happen on all voices or is it particular to just one? If the drop
is excessive it could be that the Filter hasn't been tuned properly. Maybe
any other users out there that have an OB8 could confirm before you start
diving in.

The drop in volume is consistent across all voices. I should have mentioned when resonance is at minimum there is virtually no volume difference. It gets much more significant as resonance is increased. I just want to confirm if this is the expected behavior and whether there is a way to increase the volume in 4-pole mode and high resonance.

Thanks,
Mike
