RE: [prophet2000] P2000: Midi Standard Dump?

2002-02-06 by Emusic

Which Atari editor are you trying to use? Just curious
since I don't have an Atari setup but instead use an
old Mac with ancient Sound Designer software.

One problem may be that the P2K uses 12bit sample format.
Even though SDS is supposed to work with a generic
driver a lot of the old samplers work best when whatever
software you are trying to use has a specific SDS driver
for that machine.

Are you trying to send or receive from the P2K?
Do you have both MIDI cables connected?
Are you using an emulator or a real ST? I could
never get Steem or any of the other ST emulators
to do anything with external MIDI.

Later,

Hi All

Sorry to bombard the grp with Q's about the P2000, but I hope this is what
the list is for!! :-)

Q: Can the MIDI standard Dump be used on the P2000?

Also: is there a trick to getting the P2000 to accept sysex? I am trying my
Atari editors on it, and I get errors saying the P2000 is not recieving the
MIDI connection.

My manual is coming, but not here yet.(and someones gatta post! :-)

Thanks in advance

Tim
