Let me get this straight....If I were to buy any one of these three machines, I can just pick up ROM packages (ie: Protean Drums, Mo'Phatt or Xtreme Lead) and install them on my version (let's say the XL-7), virtually giving me all three options in one handy machine? >>>Yep, I have 3 ROMs in my Xl-7 right, the Xtreme Lead that came with it, and the Proteus POP and DRUM ROMS. That means my XL-7 is also a P2500 and a PX-7. :) <<< That makes the MC-505 look like an absolute joke, and I LOVE the 505! >>>Now you're catching on. :) <<< Does the PX-7 have bass tones/synth tones/lead tones/etc. installed in it, or is it simply a drum machine (unless you add the other ROM packages)? >>>Yeah, it has other sounds too, quite a few in fact. You could easily make complete tunes with just the Drum ROM, in fact I rarely even use my XL-7 ROM anymore, preferring the Pop and Drum ROMs instead. I make breaks and some 4/4 trancey stuff FYI (http://rEalm.iuma.com). <<< rEalm The information transmitted is intended only for the person(s)or entity to which it is addressed and may contain confidential and/or legally privileged material.
