Sorry Aaron but I've got a knack for finding bugs - I was the first to
report the rfx modulation resampling bug in EOS4.61, Steve Hoge sent me a
new 'Rhythmic Delays' plugin when I discovered a bug in that, and now I've
found a bug in the xx-7s... It's about time E-MU started paying me for the
time I spend beta-testing their products. To be honest I'm surprised this
tempo controller bug hasn't been spotted before, as I only started using it
today and came across the bug almost straight away...

Anyway, I have a 4th workaround (as outlined in my previous email) that lets
me continue to use the tempo controller the way I want, so all's well that
ends well! Mind you, if you do get a chance to update the xx-7 OS, then I
expect you will be able to fix this little bug (acutally, now there is
officially a bug in 2.00, isn't it about time you got to work on a bug-fixed
version? Maybe you could put in some of them extra features we've been
asking for while you're at it...!! ;)

Just in case any of you didn't read my last email, the workround I
discovered is:

4 - Start at the base tempo, then before you use the tempo controller, edit
the base tempo (by changing it by 1 bpm then back again). Then, as long as
you don't stop and change patterns, and only
change patterns on the fly, it should loop without resetting the tempo.

I have to add that I find the tempo controller to be one of the most amazing
features I've ever seen on a sequencer... I've tried several times in the
past to find some way converting midi clock into usable controller data or
vice versa, and now I can! Thanks Aaron!!
