HI I run my XL-7 off a 110v step down transformer from 240v here in the UK. I ran it for a while on 240v but it did seem to get rather hot.. With no fan in there something will fail eventually in the PSU. It runs a lot cooler on 110v I have a Lexicon MPX1 thats the same.. PSU's can fail in those as well.
