Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

eloader does work via USB, but only for transfering patterns and such..
(i.e. backups)
 
the OS upgrade only works via a midi-connection
 
it's been a while since i upgraded my mp-7 but that was the case back
then and they haven't changed anything

Buying a new (and outdated) computer for a once-only operation seems
like a last resort option.

I see that the Windows version of eloader works over USB. My computer
at work has a USB port, so I'll try that. I'm not seeing any OS
requirement info - does eloader work under XP?
