Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hi group-

I was wondering if there is a (simple) way to record the XL7 digital
audio on my iBook.

I've been looking for an S/PDIF(coax)-to-USB converter, bus powered,
and found none. I found the Edirol UA-1EX, which is almost perfect,
except that it is for optical S/PDIF. I'm hopeful that a coax version
is at least technologically possible.

What is the simplest way to get digital audio from my XL7 into my
iBook? I greatly prefer a low-clutter solution. A simple USB powered
thingamajig would be greatly preferred over a general purpose
multifunctional digital audio interface.

Does anybody know of such a thingamajig?
