Hi I think you can get either connection, ether the coxial or optical varities of the same box. Ive definetly seen them around. I thought i saw an edirol with coxial, maybe creative make one as it goes. As for being possible, its exactly the same signal but transmission is light with fiber optic and electrical with coxial. Ive got some cheap convertors that go both ways here from maplin. You need to give them power though which is a bit of a pain.
