Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

So a little while ago I got my XL-7, with a bonus "Proteus Pop"
expansion. I've been looking at the other expansion ROMs, trying to
get as much info before I invest in any.

I noticed that many of the instrument names in the "Composer" ROM are
the same as in my "Pop" ROM. Same with "Vintage" and "Pop". And
between the standard XL7 "Lead" ROM and "Pop", there are quite a few
duplicates. Can I assume that if an instrument has the same name, it
is exactly the same wave data? By comparing "Lead" and "Pop", which I
both have, this appears to be the case.

It would seem that the "Pop" ROM is a compilation of instruments from
other collections. Are there any instruments that are unique to "Pop"?

I haven't done side-by-side comparisons between other ROMs, but how
common are duplicate instruments?

I'm considering replacing my "Pop" with a "Composer". It appears that
all the instruments I like from the "Pop" are already in the "Lead" or
are in the "Composer" ROM. By replacing "Pop" with "Composer", I would
keep what I like, and get a few more unique instruments...
