is it possible to make it so that every track mute stays un muted while switching between patterns - the reason for this would be to review all of the pattern's track sequences instead of only preset "unmuted" tracks - it seems this would have to be a global user multisetup configuration that would need to be loaded up everytime the machine is booted ?

Yep. Hold down TAP while either turning the knob (while stopped) or pressing enter to select a pattern (while playing). It's called "mute hold". You'll need OS 2.0. All the current mute settings will remain when the new pattern switches in (with the exception of empty tracks). -Aaron PS. This was one of the many "asked for on the XL-7 list" features that got in 2.0! --- lifeistheformofenergy <lifeistheformofenergy@...> wrote: > is it possible to make it so that every track mute stays un muted > while switching between patterns - the reason for this would be to > review all of the pattern's track sequences instead of only > preset "unmuted" tracks - it seems this would have to be a global > user multisetup configuration that would need to be loaded up > everytime the machine is booted ? __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Neat feature!! Thanks for the question; thanks for the answer. Another option would be to set up a song [step mode record] to chain all the patterns and have all tracks unmuted. If you do go this route, you might want to use song events only or 1st pattern only in the EVENT SOURCE menu. Aaron's suggestion is much better for an on-the-fly solution. The above solution requires the initial set-up and changes any time you add new patterns. --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, Aaron Eppolito <synthesis77@y...> wrote: > Yep.
