Buttons Starting to Not Work. Advice on Servicing??

Buttons Starting to Not Work. Advice on Servicing??

2015-12-29 by massup909@...

My Beloved XL-7 has been with me for 10+ years now. Unfortunately I have a few buttons for the "Cursor" that are getting a bit wonky and as of last night one of my track buttons is really starting to fall apart.

Any suggestions on ways to repair these? Are the contacts something easy to replace on the boards? Are most people just finding another Command Station to use as spare parts?

This is the place that has most of the Emu items needed. If it's in stock. http://www.eprelectronics.com/store/E-mu-Drum-machine-Command-Station-PARTS/E-mu-Command-Stations-c9/Good Luck

disassemble, spray anywhere you can get inside the little button, im sure its ok for silicone/plastic/other components but i personally would try not to hit anything but your intended target. of course if it drips down the PCB its ok. it didnt hurt mine and i got it on other things too.
