Yes you can but why would you want to do that? You would lose more (as far as features)than you would gain. M2 --- In xl7@y..., "nbaryosef100" <nir.baryosef@v...> wrote:

WARNING! Be aware that downgrading will most likely cause all of your user data to be lost. I would *very* much not recommend this, though yes, it is possible. -Aaron emufreak1 wrote:

I know that, the only reason I ask because after I installed Rob Papen synth rom something got fucked (maybe I told you about it, I don't remember) but I thought maybe to try installing again the 1.31 by going back first. I'd try reinitializing the unit before trying to reinstall the OS. Start up with the cursors held down and select "Reinit except Seq" (resets all global settings and all user presets) or "Reinit all user data" (careful, this also ERASES ALL sequences!). If all else fails, I'd call service. It's pretty much impossible to get a corrupt OS without having faulty hardware. -Aaron PS. you didn't metion what the problem was. if you let me know, maybe I could help. nbaryosef100 wrote:

Did you remove the native sound ROM? If so, all the pattern's presets point to a sound simm that is no longer there. Make sure that you can select all the sound ROMs that you think you have in the box. Reinstalling the OS will not have an effect on this problem. -Aaron nbaryosef100 wrote:

At least the OS doesn't think it is installed. This is not an error in the OS, so there would be no value in changing the OS. It is doing what it is supposed to do. When you cursor to that top right field can you scroll to the name of the new Sound Set you installed? If yes, then the presets that you have installed are not right. Either they're corrupt, or just not appropriate for any of the Sound SIMMs you have installed. If not, then you have a hardware problem, because the OS doesn't see the SIMM as installed. If the Sound Set doesn't show in the display, it is either a bad SIMM socket, a bad Sound SIMM, or the SIMM is simply seated poorly. You can try moving the Sound SIMM to a different socket and see if the problem goes away. If that fixes things, it is a bad socket. If that doesn't help, then the SIMM is probably bad. Scott

You have a preset selected in your MultiMap for a ROM preset on a Sound
SIMM that is not installed. At least the OS doesn't think it is
installed.
This is not an error in the OS, so there would be no value in changing
the OS. It is doing what it is supposed to do.
When you cursor to that top right field can you scroll to the name of
the new Sound Set you installed? If yes, then the presets that you have
installed are not right. Either they're corrupt, or just not appropriate
for any of the Sound SIMMs you have installed. If not, then you have a
hardware problem, because the OS doesn't see the SIMM as installed.
If the Sound Set doesn't show in the display, it is either a bad SIMM
socket, a bad Sound SIMM, or the SIMM is simply seated poorly.
You can try moving the Sound SIMM to a different socket and see if the
problem goes away. If that fixes things, it is a bad socket. If that
doesn't help, then the SIMM is probably bad.
