The idea is this, If we have success with a VCO run then it will be alot easier to get Yamaha to do VCF's and so on. As for price, They won't say. But the question is this: What is a reasonable price for a VCO. How much do you think it would cost right now to get hold of just one 153. There are guy's in the UK now who are buying CS5's for £200 ( $400 ) just to get the one VCO out of it to put in their CS80. I could be just wasting my time here, trying to get this done. But one thing is for sure, a CS80 with a voice out is a 200lb door stop. This is why I am trying to get some big names on the list who may want more than one set. The other problem is that analouge costs more in the EU than the US most of the time. So there is that to compeat with too. As for me, I am down to my last few 153's and I still have 16 CS80's to get done. :( --- In yamahacs80@...m, rj krohn <r_j_d_2.phila@...> wrote: > > kent, thanks for this. i am also looking for one VCO and one VCF chip. do you know how much we are talking per chip on the Yamaha re- run? if it is reasonable, i would buy a set as spares. > > also, what about spares on the VCF and VCA chips? thanks. > > kent_spong <kent_spong@...> wrote: Yes, 40 GBP > yes, I can ship to the states > yes, they are easy to fit. > yes, they are a direct replacment. > yes, they still have the same functionality and you do not have to > reajust anything on the BA board. > > As for VCO's > > Yamaha Japan are listening at last.
