I have a Yamaha E70U (the "U" was later model of the E70), that is basically two 7-voice CS80's for each 61-key manual in an organ body. You can check out FlametopFred videos of the E70 on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cseiCpPZdDk The DK-40 did not use the Yamaha Pulse Analog Synthesis System (PASS) which came about 7 years later with the CS80 and the E70 and E70U. The Yamaha PASS architecture was developed based on lessons learned from building the GX1 in discrete components. I hope that this helps! --- In yamahacs80@yahoogroups.com, rj krohn <r_j_d_2.phila@...> wrote: > > hi folks, im wondering if anyone out there has ever played on of these.im assuming they dont share any of the architecture of the gx-1 family, right? on a related note, what models of early yamaha "organs" are closest to the gx-1? > > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] >
