Greetings to both Erik and Antoine and welcome aboard. I only came into this CS80 group myself a few months back and it's fun to be able to connect with other CS-80 owners and enthusiasts from all over. I've had my CS-80 since about 1979, I remember carrying it home from the music shop all excited with the CS-80 crammed into the back seat of my VW Beetle! (I'm still not sure how I managed that, but I did.). Anyway after years of heavy usage, followed by years of heavy neglect I finally had my machine fully restored last summer when my old band had an opportunity to do a one-time reunion gig and I couldn't go on without my main instrument. So now I have been re-discovering how much fun this is all over again. Antoine, I really liked your site and it's about time someone had the initiative to put that together. It was fun playing through all your collection of preset sample sounds. Nicely done. I have to agree with you that there is something about the physical connection through the keyboard that isn't like any other. I haven't tried or experienced the CS80V yet, and maybe never will. I can see it being useful for home recording and MIDI projects, but for playing live with other musicians, you gotta have the real thing, in my book. Anyway, glad to have two new members to share stories with. -Tim S. <Minneapolis> CS-80 S/N #1512
