Re: [68300] Re: 68332-SDRAM interface

Jeff,
I got the message, synchronus ram is not the solution
for the 332, i will try some other data storage flash
disk etc. In my case the power is not of much concern
as compared to the cost.
I appreciate the prompt response/criticism i received
from you all.
Thanks
Shyam

Shyam,

Yes, it looks pretty complex. The solution appears to
include a big CPLD,
the level conversion buffers, and the SDRAM clock.
Apparently the CPLD
does the sync-async interface as well as the refresh
logic.

You might have picked the wrong microcontroller
series. Can you give us
more information on what you want? TPU? More than 16
MB? Only SDRAM?

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Can you comment on this design, I happened to see this
site after i
read your message.
http://www.users.qwest.net/~kmaxon/page/cont/cont47.htm
. The need for
interfacing large chunks of memory to use the full
features of
microcontrollers like the 332 is apparent and
universal.

Shyam
