Yes, it looks pretty complex.  The solution appears to include a big CPLD,
the level conversion buffers, and the SDRAM clock.  Apparently the CPLD
does the sync-async interface as well as the refresh logic.

You might have picked the wrong microcontroller series.  Can you give us
more information on what you want?  TPU?  More than 16 MB?  Only SDRAM?

Can you comment on this design, I happened to see this site after i
read your message.

interfacing large chunks of memory to use the full features of
microcontrollers like the 332 is apparent and universal.
