Hi Darrell, There are two ways to get these 4 patches back. You can do a system Reset/initalize, or send the proper MIDI sysex patch. The system initalize is done by holding the yellow cancel key "c" down, while powering on the CZ230S. This method will erase any drum patterns you have saved in memory, and will reset a few other normally saved settings, like pitch bend amount, transpose, MIDI channel. The initalize is necessary when the CZ230S has been without power for any extended amount of time, as is with all of the CZ series. An un-initalized CZ will act as if it is broken. I have uploaded the proper MIDI sysex file to the Files section. "intall.syx" This method will restore the 4 original patches, while keeping any saved patterns/settings intact. I also have the 100 CZ230S patches converted to banks of 16, for use on the other CZ's on my webpage, if anyone wants to try them. And an MP3 of my CZ230S there too!
