That happened to me, the problem is the corrosion killed the ability of the
cz101 to use any batteries.  I just leave it plugged in now, but I noticed
that when I leave it unplugged for somewhat-but-not-too-long periods of time
it still retains patch memory.  So there's something inside that has some
memory life.
