The same thing happened to my old CZ-101 for no obvious reason - I plugged it in after a couple of years of non-use and it had a blank LCD and lots of flashing lights but no sound. After trying everything from new batteries to pressing the reset button I ended up literally binning it and getting a CZ-1 for £85. Money well spent.

Subject: [CZsynth] CZ-1000 locked up...help!
Awhile ago, my memory card fell out of my Casio CZ causing the
keyboard to lock up...all there is now is a blacked out LCD screen
with various lights on all over the keyboard. The power indicator
light is off, but power is still getting to the keyboard. How do I
fix this? Please help
