RE: [CZsynth] CZ-1000 locked up...help!

2004-02-13 by Tim Parkhurst

I thought the deal with the reset button was to hold it and THEN power up
the unit, and release it after the keyboard has powered up. Something like
that. There's a rather specific procedure in the user's manual, but I can't
really recall since I don't have one here at work. Anyway, I hope there's
some way to revive these things because I have two CZ-101s that I haven't
powered up in years, and I hope they're okay...

The same thing happened to my old CZ-101 for no obvious reason - I plugged
it in after a couple of years of non-use and it had a blank LCD and lots of
flashing lights but no sound. After trying everything from new batteries to
pressing the reset button I ended up literally binning it and getting a CZ-1
for £85. Money well spent.

Awhile ago, my memory card fell out of my Casio CZ causing the
keyboard to lock up...all there is now is a blacked out LCD screen
with various lights on all over the keyboard. The power indicator
light is off, but power is still getting to the keyboard. How do I
  fix this? Please help
